The Need
To make a quality education affordable for all families, UCS works with each family and distributes financial aid according to annual household income. Since more than 47% of UCS families live on $15,000 or less, tuition covers only 11% of the annual operating expenses. Other school income, such as parent fundraisers and investment earnings cover an additional 22%. The remaining 67% needs to be covered by donations from individuals and corporations as well as through grants from foundations and other organizations.
Why Give to UCS
- UCS has been successfully accomplishing its mission since 1968
* 91% of UCS students graduate high school

- UCS is fiscally responsible - your money is spent wisely
- UCS students understand and appreciate the gift you give them
- UCS produces not only educated and productive adults but helps build strong moral character as well
- An investment in today's students is an investment in tomorrow's society
Ways to Help
Annual Operating Fund The annual operating fund, as the name implies, is the vehicle for covering the yearly costs of running the school. For the 2007-2008 school year, the difference between the actual cost to educate one child at UCS ($6,200) and the amount covered by tuition payments and other school income ($2,000) is $4,200.
UCS accepts contributions of cash, check, credit card (Visa and Mastercard only), money order, securities and non-monetary resources. For information on donating stock or other appreciated securities, please contact the UCS Development Office at 216-939-8441. Endowed Scholarship Fund
The endowed scholarship fund ensures the financial stability and longevity of the school. The school uses earnings from this fund to provide scholarship support to UCS students.
Named scholarship funds are available for gifts of $120,000 or more. Each named scholarship fund generates enough annual investment income to pay for one UCS student each school year.
