40th Anniversary Celebrations
UCS will celebrate its 40 years throughout the 2008-2009 school year with a host of events in honor of the landmark year. Please check back often for updates as additional information and event details will be added as they become available.

Welcome Back Birthday Bash

The weekend before the first day of school, UCS students and parents will be welcomed back to school with a special 40th birthday party. There will be complimentary food and drink, games and much, much more. Event will take place rain or shine.

2008 Annual Fall Benefit

Cost: $250/ticket (additional sponsorship opportunities available)
UCS will celebrate 40 years of incredible support at the annual fall benefit. It will be an elegant evening of fine food including dinner by Doug Katz of fire, live and silent auctions and much more! This event is open to all friends of UCS.

Alumni Reunion 2009

Over 1,500 UCS alumni will be invited to take part in the largest UCS alumni reunion ever! This event is open to all UCS graduates and their families.

Valentine's Day Celebration

UCS Grandparents and other "Special Persons" will be invited to celebrate Valentine's Day with the students. There will special treats and refreshments for the guests as well.

Walk through UCS History
Date: Sunday, June 14, 2009
Time: Fun begins at 1:30pm
Location: Event begins and ends at UCS Campus
Cost: $0
A very special event, a walk through the history of UCS, will wrap up the 40th anniversary celebrations. The walk will spotlight the roles of the founding parishes and the UCS neighborhood in the development, growth and sustainability of the school over the past 40 years. Event will take place rain or shine. Special travel accomodations will be available for those who are unable to walk the route but wish to participate. This event is open to all friends of UCS.

2007 Fall Benefit
November 17, 2007
The annual UCS benefit took place on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the UCS campus. Dinner featured food stations by Light Bistro and dessert by Farkas Pastry Shoppe, owned by UCS alumnus Ed Kroeger. Throughout the night guests were able to bid on one-of-a-kind experiences featuring local VIPs, interact with the children and participate in classroom activities. The event raised over $180,000 in funds for classroom activities, supplies and scholarship support for the UCS students.

Alumni Picnic
June 16, 2007
On Saturday, June 16, 2007 UCS alumni from across the decades returned to their elementary school alma mater, with graduates spanning the years from 1969 to 2005. Many of the alumni reconnected with classmates they hadn't seen since they graduated from UCS. The alumni and their families were treated to Mexican cuisine, tours of the building and even a visit by the ice cream truck. The UCS gym was opened for use and plenty of backyard-style games were on hand for entertainment. The highlight of the event, however, was the archival display in the library which featured photos from the inception of school through the move to the new building including the class photos from each year.
