Urban Community School participates in a number of consumer charity programs. By participating in the following programs, it's easy to support UCS through your everyday shopping.

SchoolPop

Support Urban Community School while doing your online shopping–by doing your normal Internet shopping, you can raise funds for UCS. Simply shop through our online shopping mall and a percentage of your purchase will benefit our school.

Visit the SchoolPop site at www.schoolpop.com and register. Please note that UCS does NOT receive the information you share with SchoolPop. On the site, you can choose from over 360 popular merchants and shop as normal. The percentages listed below each merchant in the mall will be the contribution the school receives. Not only does this simple program help us raise funds, it also provides you with money saving offers via exclusive merchant specials.

There is no cost, other than your actual purchases, to participate. There are no special codes to enter when shopping and the Shopping Buddy download is OPTIONAL. However, if you do install the Shopping Buddy, whenever you shop at a participating online retailer, even if you forget to start at the SchoolPop web site, your purchases will earn UCS funds.

UCS also participates in:

• Box Tops for Education UCS collects Box Tops throughout the school year and summer and once per year, the school redeems them. The cash value per Box Top is 10 cents, and the school uses the “earnings” to purchase items from the Box Top Marketplace.
• Campbell's Labels for Education Similar to the Box Tops program, UCS collects Labels for Education throughout the year and submits them once per year. Labels for Education UPCs are worth either 1 or 5 points each, depending on the item purchased. Using the points collected throughout the year, the school earns cash back to be used on purchases for the classrooms.
• Heinen's ABC School Program. By enrolling in Heinen's Tasteful Rewards™ and selecting UCS for your ABC School Program School of Choice, up to 1% of your purchases from September through April will be donated by Heinen's to UCS. In order for your purchases to benefit UCS, you must enroll in the program each year. Once per year, UCS receives a check from Heinen's for the total amount accumulated by our shoppers each year.
• Giant Eagle's Apples for the Students program. Each time you use your Giant Eagle Advantage Card, you can earn points for UCS. In April, UCS uses the accumulated points to select items from the Awards Catalog. With the Giant Eagle program, there is no need to register each year. Once registered with Urban Community School, your points will continue to benefit us year after year!
• Target's Take Charge of Education® Target donates 1% of all Target REDCardSM purchases made at a Target store or at Target.com and 1/2% of all Target REDCardSM purchases made outside of Target.

Box Tops and Labels for Education also can be dropped off at or mailed to the school. Enrollment in the Heinen's and Giant Eagle programs is completed directly through each grocer.
